Day 23 of the 28 Days of Self Love Challenge

Today’s Challenge is to try a new food. Trying new foods is not only fun and adventurous, it also helps you to experience new flavors and textures. Trying a new food can help you eat healthier and introduce you to different cultures. It’s fun to discover foods that you’ve never tried before and you sometimes end up experiencing foods you eat at home in a new way.

I am not so adventurous when it comes to food. I prefer sticking to the local cuisine that we have grown up with. But, I love trying out new stuff.

I still remember the first time I tried broccoli – I was apprehensive at first, but then I fell in love with it! And the same was the case with avocado. The only way I ever had avocado was in milkshakes, but thanks to the internet, I discovered new ways of eating avocado and I even love to eat it plain!

I have always been curious about sushi. I’ve heard people talk so much about sushi and that is what I decided to try today. But I was out of luck, as the place that was recommended doesn’t deliver to my area.

That’s when I remembered that I had some shrimp in the freezer and decided to try some shrimp scampi with pasta. I had seen some recipes on the internet, which I had bookmarked to try later and I decided to

The scampi turned out pretty ok, but my husband felt it needed a bit more flavour. So, i’ll be making a few changes to the recipe the next time I make it!
